Knitting Patterns

Please find below links to my knitting patterns on Ravelry.  I'm currently writing out my new pattern Iona, which will hopefully be released by the summer of 2013.  If you click on the Ravelry projects button on any of these patterns it will take you directly to the pattern on Ravelry.

Cornflower Cowl

This is a simple cable and twisted stitch cowl knitted completely in the round on a circular needle. The pattern is very easy to memorise, knits up quickly and is therefore ideal as a last minute present. The pattern is adaptable and will knit up in most DK/8 ply yarns.  It can be altered in size by adding or taking away extra patterns repeats, so you can adapt it to any yarn weight.  The pattern is charted only, but it is colour-coded and extremely clear and easy to follow.

Twisted Limone

A simple twisted stitch design knitted from the toe up. Methods used; Judy’s Magic Cast On and Magic Loop, with a short row gusset heel. The pattern is suitable for an intermediate knitter, but beginners wanting a challenge will find the links at the end of the pattern useful to help them along. The pattern is both written and charted.

Little Minx

A very simple twisted stitch sock pattern knitted from the toe up. It is ideal for knitters new to twisted stitches or for anyone who wants an easily memorised, no fuss knit. The stitch pattern consists of 4 rows; only one of which is a left and right twist row; the other 3 are 2 x 2 twisted rib (k2tbl, p2) - easy peasy and it knits up quite quickly!

The techniques used in the pattern are:

Judy’s Magic Cast On
Magic Loop
A Wrap & Turn Heel
Cabling without a needle, if desired

There are links in the pattern to help with these techniques if you’ve never used them before, or why not adapt the pattern to your preferred methods?

The pattern is both written and charted

Cornflower Socks

This is a top down sock with gusset and heel flap. The twisted stitch pattern is very easy to memorise and much easier than it looks! The pattern is written using dpns, but can be adapted to suit your usual method of knitting in the round. It is charted only, but it is colour-coded and very simple to follow.

If you’ve already knitted my Cornflower Cowl, and can knit socks, you will find this pattern a breeze!
